Internet Marketing services and SEO consulting firm based in Boston, MA, announces today the recent hire of full-time marketing assistant Shawna Wright.
Brick Marketing has seen a recent influx of new clients and projects that demanded the creation of a new marketing assistant position to handle the implementation of various full service SEO services and SEM projects. The job posting received over 900 resumes in the first few days.
Nick Stamoulis, President and Founder of Brick Marketing, says, "I was looking for someone who had both solid marketing and writing background skills. A lot of the time you find a person who is very strong in one or the other, but a good balance of both is a little harder to find. When it comes to SEO, you need the marketing background to understand the how and why, but you have to be able to write."
Shawna Wright graduated in December 2009 from Emerson College, a renowned communications school located in downtown Boston, MA. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications, while also holding a double minor in Creative Writing and Photography.
Shawna Wright says, "I'm very excited to be a part of the Brick Marketing team. It's wonderful to work with and learn from Nick [Stamoulis]. He's so excited and knowledgeable about his field that I can't wait to come in every day to see what I get to do."
Prior to joining Brick Marketing, Shawna Wright worked as a marketing communications manager at Joe Gold Marketing, a marketing firm responsible for the promotion of BodyWorlds, Mummies of the World, Vatican Splendors and other travelling museum exhibition and ticketed events. While at Joe Gold Marketing, Shawna Wright managed a four-man promotional team that worked for Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey's Circus on Coney Island in New York. She was also part of the team that implemented the Distracted Driving Simulator as part of Toyota's Driving Expectations Program that toured several cities in the fall of 2010.
While in college, Shawna Wright held several internships including; working for a PR and events promotion firm in her home town of Chicago, IL, writing featured articles for Scene Magazine, a North End-based magazine that focuses on Boston nightlife, fashion, travel and food, and working as a copywriting intern in the marketing communications department of Hollister Inc., a Boston-based staffing firm.
As part of the Emerson curriculum, Shawna Wright also developed full marketing strategies for and subsequently implemented by local nonprofits including The Vilna Shul and Perkins School for the Blind.
